THE WORKSHOP

June 17, 2018 @ 7:45 PM - 9:45 PM

Single Tickets $6     Semester Passes $30     Where Are Films Shown?     Where Can I Park?      Watch the Trailer

The Workshop is an intimate and timely drama from the French director Laurent Cantet about a group of young adults enrolled in a summer writing class in the South of France. The aspiring novelists have been selected to write a crime thriller with the help of Olivia, a famous novelist. The creative process will recall the town’s industrial past. One of the students, Antoine, seems more concerned with the geopolitical realities of the modern world; he clashes with the other students and with Olivia, who seems at the same time alarmed and captivated by Antoine’s hostility.

Some of you saw Laurent Cantet’s The Class when we showed it several years ago.
